A Lifelong Connection to Austin and to Its Students
|
I was born and raised in Austin and attended elementary, middle, and high school in the Austin Independent School District. After attending college at Boston University and spending my senior year living in Spain, I settled down in Southwest Austin.
I started working in Austin public high schools in 2002, and that’s when I realized the fulfillment and joy I felt supporting students on their path to college. Over the last 23 years, I’ve supported students across a diverse range of schools and backgrounds, and I understood early on that building genuine relationships was the aspect of my job that meant the most to me. I not only enjoy helping my students understand who they are during the transitions of adolescence, but also to explore their capabilities and the future possibilities those may lead to. I see myself as the bridge between where they are and where they could go, and my years of training and education have resulted in profound respect for each student's potential. |

EXTENSIVE LOCAL KNOWLEDGE
I have years of experience working in the Austin community, including familiarity with the curriculum and course offerings of local high schools. I was recently recognized for my college counseling services to the Austin community by being inducted to Women's Hall of Fame by the City of Austin Mayor and City Council.

PERSONALIZED MENTORSHIP
I offer a much smaller caseload, 50-minute virtual meetings for each client, and unlimited accessibility between meetings to ensure that I invest the time required to provide the most personalized support possible.

EXTENSIVE ADMISSIONS NETWORK
Through national leadership roles and ongoing conversations with admissions officers, I offer students a perspective that’s directly from the source. The relationships I’ve built across the admissions field enable to me to access the most current and accurate information possible, and to help students to navigate the admissions process with more ease.
