A Native Austinite with a long-standing presence in college access, I serve families as both a mentor and advocate, drawing on extensive expertise, and a commitment to helping students define success for themselves.

A Lifelong Connection to Austin and to Its Students
I was born and raised in Austin and attended secondary school in the Austin Independent School District. After attending college at Boston University and spending my senior year living in Spain, I settled down in Southwest Austin. I started working in Austin public high schools in 2002, and that’s when I realized the fulfillment of supporting students on their path to college. Over the last 23 years, I’ve empowered students across all types of schools and backgrounds, and the best part of my job has never changed—building genuine relationships. I not only enjoy helping students understand who they are, but also to explore their capabilities and the future possibilities those may lead to. I see myself as the bridge between where they are and where they could go—and that’s a role I hold with deep respect for each student's potential. |
EXTENSIVE LOCAL KNOWLEDGE
Years of experience working in the Austin community, including familiarity with the curriculum and course offerings of local high schools. I was recently recognized for my college counseling service to the Austin community by being inducted to Women's Hall of Fame by the City of Austin Mayor and City Council.

EXTENSIVE ADMISSIONS NETWORK
Through national leadership roles and ongoing conversations with admissions officers, I offer students a perspective that’s directly from the source—grounded in trust through the relationships I’ve built across the admissions field.
